Camp Covington

Once a small and shaded camp surrounded by a pine/hardwood forest and bordered by the Bogue Falaya River, Camp Covington received extensive damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. About 90% of the trees were brought down by the terrible wind and funnel clouds, damaging buildings, cabins, and other camp facilities.

The downed trees have been cleared and damaged buildings have been demolished. A camp ranger lives on the property, which is currently closed.
