Nuts & Candy

Attention Girl Scout entrepreneurs!

The 2007 dates for the Fall Product Sale of nuts, candies, and address booklets are from September 15-October 7! Participating in the Fall Product Sale is a fun and easy way to earn troop start up money for the year.

Last year 125 troops participated, and this year the Council expects even more participation, as girls are encouraged to "Treasure Your Mind, Treasure Your Health," the 2007 sale's theme.

Girl Scouts will be taking pre-paid candy and nut orders September 15 through October 7 and will deliver the products to customers the week of November 12. The troop earns $1 for every item sold and $2 for every address booklet completed. Since this money is pre-collected, the troop receives their proceeds immediately.

Girls must be registered for the new membership year by September 1 to participate in the sale. The sale is for Brownie -Senior Girl Scouts, although Daisy Girl Scouts will be invited to participate in the kick-off event only.

Participating in a Council-sponsored product sale is a voluntary program for Girl Scouts that teaches responsibility, money management, marketing, and communication skills. The sale teaches girls many valuable skills that will last them a lifetime.

The Council has selected Ashdon Farms/QSP as the licensed Girl Scout vendor.
