2009 Annual Family Giving Campaign Information

There are approximately 10,500 families in our Council. If each family supports our Annual Family Giving Campaign, we could do more for our girls!

A gift of $25 (which is $2.08 per month), amounts to $262,500

A gift of $50 (which is $4.17 per month), amounts to $525,500

A gift of $100 (which is $8.33 per month) amounts to $1,050,000

Important Campaign Dates, Deadlines

The deadline for turning in all donations has been extended to April 17, 2009 which will allow for Troops and Service Units to be recognized at the Girl/Adult Recognition event being planned for May 2009, date TBA.

Troop Appreciation Awards

Troops with 100 percent participation with at least $20 donated per registered girl will receive 10% back in Donor Dollars from their donation that can be used in either of the council shops (Baton Rouge & New Orleans) or towards program fees (such as resident camp or a council event).

Troop Appreciation Awards will be given to Girl Scout Troops who raise the following amounts, regardless of the percentage of Troop participation (all pledges and contributions must be received by 12/12/08):

Bronze Troops - Donating $1,500+ - will receive a two-night camping voucher

Silver Troops - Donating $2,750+ - will receive a two-night camping voucher and a party

Gold Troops - Donating $5,000+ - will receive a two-night camping voucher, a party, and their troop number displayed on a recognitions plaque hung at the council. These troops will also be recognized at a council-wide event.

Family Campaign Patch

Girls also directly benefit from their family's generosity. Even though the suggested gift is $150 per family, a girl will receive a patch if her family contributes $75 or more.
