Annual Family Giving Campaign

Girl Scouting is made possible through many financial efforts. Those who benefit most from Girl Scouting - our Girl Scout families - have an opportunity to support the program through Girl Scout Louisiana East's Annual Family Giving Campaign.

Girl Scouting experiences help girls become strong and confident women who will make all of our communities a better place to live.  Girls learn new skills, such as leadership, problem solving, and how to be independent.  All of these experiences help to build self-confidence and shape character. 

Did you know...

According to GSUSA statistics, for every 100 girls who join Girl Scouts:

71 will earn As and Bs compared to 50 percent of girls nationwide.

18 will develop hobbies they will enjoy during their adult life.

8 will enter a vocation learned through a badge or patch program.

4 will earn the Girl Scout Gold Award.

1 will use her Girl Scouting skills to save a Life.

Your $150 tax-deductible contribution to Girl Scouts Louisiana East will help to ensure that we can continue to offer a high-quality program to southeast Louisiana girls. Our Council provides programs, resources, adult trainings, supplies, publications, insurance, facilities, and outdoor program centers for each and every member.  Recognizing that it cost us last year approximately $299 per girl per year to support delivery of the Girl Scout Program in our combined Council, we are asking that families pledge at least $150/year per child to help defray the costs.
