Answer the STEM question* and camp for free

Girl Scouts introduces girls of every age to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities that are relevant to everyday life. A monthly STEM contest is brought to you by Girl Scouts in collaboration with Louisiana Children’s Museum.  Winning troops (one per age level) will receive a troop camping voucher and your troop will be able to camp for free at Camp Whispering Pines! Happy Birthday, Juliette Low

The deadline to register for the Fall Festival at CWP on Nov. 3 (celebrating founder Juliette Low's birthday) is now closed. However, even if your troop is not attending this year, you can still participate and send your best wishes to your sister Girl Scouts by baking a birthday cake!  Decorate your cake to symbolize your troop and your best wishes.  Make arrangements with a troop in your service unit who is attending so they might deliver your decorated cake to the CWP Dining Hall when they arrive. This is not limited to those troops not attending! If your troop will be coming to Fall Festival and you want to bring a cake, by all means, a birthday party can never have too much cake! 

JPAS Tech Week opportunity

A great new opportunity has just been created for Girl Scouts (15 years of age and older) interested in theatrical productions. The Jefferson Performing Arts Society is accepting applications from Girl Scouts who wish to get first hand experience with the technical aspects in the upcoming play, A Christmas Carol. Click here for the application which must be submitted prior to the Nov. 16 deadline.

Cookie and Fall Product Sale Update

Cookie Training for Service Unit Product Sales Managers and Service Unit Managers is Saturday, November 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please register for the training as soon as possible.

Fall Product items will be delivered to service units from November 5-9.

Sign Up for some fun events this fall

New Program activities come available all the time. Just a few of the events include:

• New Orleans Hornets Scrapbook Night - Nov. 9, pre-and post-game activities. Various pricing depending on seat location. Click here for Registration form.
• Tulane Cheer Clinic & Football Night - Nov. 10, cheer clinic 2:30-3:30 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m., game starts at 6 p.m. Clinic participants will cheer at half time. Registration form for clinic and/or game tickets.
• Destination Station - Nov. 17, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Service Center. Girls 11-17. $3 per girl.
• Silver & Gold Award Workshops - Nov. 17, 1 - 3 p.m. Cadette - Senior Girl Scouts. $2 per girl.
• Louisiana Renaissance Festival - All weekends in Nov., first two in Dec. Family Day is Friday, Nov. 23. Group rates exist for Girl Scout troops. Click here for discount coupon.
• Me & My Pal (Dad & Me) weekend at CWP - November 30-December 2. Brownie – Senior Girl Scouts with their dad/grandparent/uncle/ appropriate adult male. $35 per girl, $25 per adult. Deadline is November 9.
